The yamuna Yatra reached Delhi after a 45 day long footmarch in protest of sad situation of Yamuna river. The protest culminated in a huge demonstration at Jantar Mantar in which more than 10,000 Brijwasis and farmers took part who presented a ten point list of demands to the government. But unfortunately with little effect. As politicians in charge were neglecting their duty the march was followed by a fast to death, with some 50 devotees and farmers participating demanding the government to act.
